Jacqueline Ann Currie

Born In: Glace Bay

Passed in: Sydney
Passed on: February 14th, 2016

It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Jacqueline Ann Currie on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with all her family by her side.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late John R. 'Jack' and Anne MacDonald.
In her early years she was employed as a nurses aid at St. Joseph’s Hospital, MacLeod’s and MacAulay’s Nursing Homes. Later in life she was employed at I.C.T., where she made many treasured friends. Mom’s favourite job was being a devoted fulltime wife, mother and grandmother. She was kind, loving, caring and treasured by all her family and friends. Mom always had the best advice to give to anyone for any situation. She would drop everything to help anyone in need, Mom was famous to share all of her most cherished memories and stories with her family and friends and sometimes even a person she met at the grocery store. We all learned so much from her to guide us in our journeys. Mom loved her grandchildren very much and was very proud of each and every one of them.
Surviving are her devoted loving husband, Naish; daughter, Angela; sons, Willie (Heidi) and Joe (Sabrina); grandchildren, Matthew, Raymond, Liam, Caileigh, Carter and Logan; sisters, Isabelle (Bev), Shirley, Pat (Al), Sharon (Donnie) and brother-in-law, Bill MacLeod and many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her parents-in-law, William and Penelope Currie; son-in-law, Levi Boutilier; special niece, Anna Marie MacDougall and many brothers-in-law and sisiters-in-law.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Friday, Feb.19, 2016 from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home with service to follow at 2 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home Chapel.
