It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our brother, uncle and friend, Job Organ, age 80, on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Burnt Islands, Nfld. on June 19, 1935, he was the son of the late Clemeth and Nora (Smurrage) Organ.
Job fished all of his life in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia and loved to have a fun game of cards.
He is survived by his two sisters, Selina (Don) Hatcher, Ruby (Ross) Whitman, many nieces and nephews and his special friend, Theresa Marsh.
Job was predeceased by three sisters, Ella Mae (Bill) Munden, Viola (Raymond) Burton and Vera, and by brothers, Jim (Dorcas), Gordon and Bradley.
There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will take place at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
