With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clifford Joseph Arsenault at the age of 85th, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, of Summerside and formerly from Wellington. He was a devoted husband to Mae (nee Caissie) Arsenault. Clifford was born in St. Gilbert on August 25, 1930, son of the late Antoine and Rita (nee Gaudet) Arsenault. He leaves to mourn his loving children: Eldon (Mona), Gloria (Eddie), Donnie (Christine), Claude (Jennifer), Mike, Linda (David) Perry, Alan (Darlene), Brenda Arsenault (Scotty) Allaby and Gérald Arsenault (Bonnie) Gallant. Clifford was a passionate grandfather to 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Will be forever remembered by his brother and sisters: Ella White, Léona (Bobby) McAree, Francis and Marie (Mel) Brogan. Clifford is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother-in-law George and a sister-in-law Diane. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Monday, Feb. 22, then to the St. Philippe and St. Jacques, Egmont Bay, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, or to charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Feb. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 17, Wellington, will hold a service at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21.
