It is with deep sadness that Goldie passed away peacefully at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter: Michelle (Earle Dalley); cherished grand-son: Jacob Cluney; grand-daughters: Amanda Martel (Todd) and Nicole Dalley; great grand-daughter: Jordynn Martell and her furry friends: Koda and Lily; sisters: Juanita Hancock (Wayne), Sudbury, ON, Louise Canning (Terry), Flin Flon, MB, Sybil Hancock, Ottawa, ON, Della Nicholson (Michael), California, Sharon Starkes, Ottawa, ON, and Kimberley Hancock (Terry Sampson), Gander, brothers- law and sisters- law: Harold Melendy (Bride), Eva Mills (Bernard) of Corner Brook, Gordon Melendy, Port Stanley, ON, Joan McDonald (Herbert) of Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Goldie was predeceased by her husband: Clyde, son: Barry, Parents: Jacob and Beulah Hancock, father and mother in-law: Maxwell and Irene Melendy, brother in-law: Sterling Starkes and niece: Linda Proulx Lemieux. Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Friday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 20th at First United Church Park Street, with Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
