Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2016, aged 84 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary Howlett, two brothers, three sisters, son-in-law Fergus Dillon and grandson Luke Hayes. Leaving to mourn with precious memories, his loving wife of 62 years, Pats (nee Daly), his eight daughters: Judy (Dave Myers), Kathi (Greg Noah), Jo-Anne (Earl Hayes), Eileen (Tony Mullett), Bernice (Dean Fardy), Patty (Ian DeLong), Brenda (Ken Strickland), Heather Dillon (Colin Attwood) as well as his only son Bernie (Stacey Dobbin). He has also left a special daughter-in-law Pamela Howlett (Kenny Powell) and 16 grandchildren: Andrea Kavanagh (Rob), Stephen Myers, Heidi Paulse (Jon), Danny Noah (Tiffany Butt), Sandy and Rebecca Noah (Devin), Kayla Douglas (John), Corey Mullett; Colin Fardy, Kristen Fardy (Brent), Allison, Kiley and Michael DeLong, Matthew Strickland (Julie), Julia Dillon and Kyle Howlett along with eight great-grandchildren. Also mourning his passing, his sister-in-law Rene Spencer (Cec). He had close friends that will miss him dearly: John and Carmel Murphy, Frank and Shirley Joy and Joan Curtis. His sense of humour and dry wit will be missed by all who knew him. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home on Lemarchant Road on Sunday, February 21 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Monday, February 22 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church on Tuesday, February 23 at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to Choices for Youth.
