REID-TRITES, ANNABELLE R.
1944-2016
Annabelle R. Reid-Trites, 71, of Riverview and formerly of Hopewell Cape, passed away peacefully on February 21st, 2016 at her home. Annabelle was born in Pictou, NS, on October 3, 1944, the daughter of the late William and Thelma (Langill) Reid.
She worked as a RNA at the Albert County Hospital for 15 years before retiring. Annabelle enjoyed knitting and had made many mittens and scarves over the years for all her family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Hillsborough United Church and a member of the UCW. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 32 Ladies Auxiliary. Annabelle was small but mighty, she never let anything get in her way. She had a huge heart and loved her family very much. Her boys were her life and when the grandchildren came along they were her pride and joy. She was active in the community of Hopewell Cape when they lived there always giving a helping hand in baking or whatever needed done. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and easy going personality. Your gentle smile and generous heart will live with us forever.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Lloyd Trites; sons, Gregory Trites (Michelle), Billy Trites (Paula) and Tim Trites (Nicole) all of Riverview; her precious grandchildren, Marrisa, Marley, Abigail, Kayla, Mason, Leeah, Skylar and Teaguen; precious great-granddaughter, Violet; brother, Jim Reid (Barb) of Lower Cape; half-brothers, Keith Langill, Harold Rhindress and sister-in-law, Betty Rhindress all of ON. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by brother, Jack Reid; half-brother, Emery Rhindress.
Honoring Annabelle's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at 2:30 pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in the River View Cemetery, Edgett's Landing at a later date.
For those who wish donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital-Cancer Clinic or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated.
