It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Leonard Higgins, 72, of New Waterford on Feb. 22, 2016.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Bill and Matilda (Doucette) Higgins.
Leonard was employed with Devco for 30 years. He enjoyed playing pool and darts with his friends from The New Waterford Pensioners' Club and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed trips to Tim Hortons with his little buddy, Chaos.
Surviving are his children Leonard (Sam), Leon, Donnie (Laurie) and Sandra (Jimdan); brother, Raymond; mother to his children, Anna Dupe; grandchildren, Kaylem, Brandon, Madison, Emma, Donnie, Kylie, Dylan, Austin, Deion, Emily, Timmy; great-grandson, Hayden; two aunts, Lilly Wootton and Hughena Roach.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Jack.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place, under the care and direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
A funeral mass of celebration will take place on Wednesday, March 2, at Mount Carmel Church at 10 a.m. A luncheon will follow at the KOC.
