It is with great sadness that the family of Orella Gallant announce her passing at the age of 82. She died peacefully on February 25, 2016 at Western Regional Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook following a sudden illness. Her family were by her side throughout her illness. She is mourned with fond and loving memories by her four children, Don (Mabel) St. John's, Marina Delaney (Bob) Stephenville, Jerry (Karen) Humber Valley, Wayne (Dianne) Fredericton, NB, her beloved niece Masie of California, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Originally of Ship Cove on the Port Au Port Peninsula, she came from a loving large family, having been predeceased by her parents Walter and Mary Kendall and all of her siblings: Emma, Steve, Hughie, Johnny, Hubert, Marjorie, Ronnie, Hilary, Matthew and Marina. She loved traditional Newfoundland and country music, and later in life loved to travel and visit with her children, niece, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation for Orella will take place at Russell's Funeral Home on Sunday February 28, 2016 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place at St. Stephen's Church on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10 am with interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
