WOODS, BARBARA ANNE
It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Barbara Anne Woods of Welsford who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday February 27, 2016. Born in Saint John, May of 1942 she was the eldest daughter of the late Bill and Margaret (Doyle) Cunningham.
Barbara worked for NB Tel for many years retiring in 1998. She was a member of the “Telephone Pioneers” and enjoyed reading, camping in Cambridge Narrows in the summer and spending time with family and friends.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, nanny, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years Lloyd Woods of Welsford; daughter Tanya Foran (Danny) of Halifax; son Lloyd Woods (Beth) of Grandbay-Wesfield; four precious granddaughters Erika Blagdon, Caitlin Foran, Megan Foran and Shannon Foran; one and only great-grandson Jensen Floyd; brother Ricky Cunningham (Linda) of Milledgeville; sisters Catherine Crowley of Oromocto; Joan Crowse and Debbie Sherwood (Bobby) both of Saint John and Ann Muise (Brian) of Saint John; sisters-in-law Sandra Cunningham of Saint John, Delores DEntremont (Blair) of Lower Pubnico, NS and Linda Benjamin (Jimmy) of Grandbay-Westfield; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brothers Paul and Brian Cunningham.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, March 1st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 2nd at 11 a.m. Private family interment at a later date.
Donations in Barbara’s memory can be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
