June Ann Hattum (Nee: Kinnee) age 68 of Medicine Hat, Ab. passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Medicine Hat Hospital. The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2016 from Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Swift Current, Sk. with Pastor Brad Julien officiating. The organist was Arlie Neufeld. The eulogy was presented by Betty Satter and special family memories were shared by her children, Jamie Hattum and Lorna Snider. The pallbearers were Stephen Snider, Shawn Folk, Darren Henderson, Garett Kinnee, Albert Hendous and Shane Rognstad. The honorary pallbearers were June's grandchildren; Deklin Snider, Clark Hattum, Ella Hattum and Khloe Snider. June is survived by her mother Salome Zaremba; husband Jack Hattum; daughter Lorna (Stephen) Snider; son Jamie (Amy Corbett) Hattum; grandchildren Deklin and Khloe Snider, Clark and Ella Hattum; twin sister Betty (Hal) Satter; sister Judy (Marcel) Folk; brother Wesley (Debbie) Kinnee; sister Marilyn (Clem) Therrien; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law including Lily Rognstad, Abe Hattum, Alec and Joyce Hattum, Bertha and Moe Hendous and Em and Judy Hattum and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father James Kennee; brother Barry Kinnee; step father Alf Zaremba; brothers-in-law Edward Hattum, Bud Hattum and Issac Hattum; sisters-in-law Kate (Hattum) McKinnon, Mickey Hattum and Josephine Williamson; special nephews Mark Hattum. June was born on June 16, 1947 in Ponteix Sk. She attended school in Cadillac. June worked for Sasktel as a switchboard operator and also at the Ponteix Hospital before she married Jack Hattum on December 15, 1972. After their marriage they worked side by side on the farm for many years raising their family. June loved sport especially curling and was a very good curler herself in Cadillac. She enjoyed watch curling on T.V. with her husband Jack. She also loved to take her children to Judo Tournaments and watching them participate. June loved to talk to people, especially on the phone. They didn't gossip just talked. She was a kind caring and loving soul, who loved people and animals and never said a bad work about others. She also loved gadgets and giving neat gadgets to her friends. June will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
