FERRIS, Charles Ernest – 67, Hilden, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Carl and Rhoda (Walker) Ferris. Charles worked at Crossley Carpets for over 20 years. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Donna (Prime) Ferris; children, Scott (Vanessa), New Glasgow; Kevin (Traci), Hilden; Kimberley (Jason), North River; eight grandchildren; siblings, Sandra (William “Bud”) Murphy, David (Betty), Bible Hill; Stephanie (Joe) Marando, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Timothy in infancy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Charles’ family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., today, Tuesday, March 1, 2016, and funeral service 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016, Reverend Cory Somers officiating.
