It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Eric Newell, age 60, on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at home.
Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Edgar and Marcella (MacKinnon) Newell and brother of the late Edgar Newell Jr.
He is survived by his brother, James (Catherine), Sydney; sister-in-law, Helen, Whitney Pier; many nieces, nephews and grandnieces.
A private family visitation and funeral will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel, with Archdeacon Brenda Drake officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Albans Anglican Church, Whitney Pier.
