The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Monday, March 7, 2016, of Jean MacFarlane, of North Carleton, aged 89 years. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Laura (Stavert) MacCallum and stepdaughter of Jennie (Waugh) MacCallum. Survived by her children Noel (Karen) MacFarlane, Dorothy Lynn (David) Wheeler, and Kent (Carol) MacFarlane; grandchildren Jeffrey MacFarlane, Holly (Mark) Sutherland, Connor and Clyde Wheeler; Matt, Maggie and Jesse MacFarlane; great-granddaughter Charlotte Jean Sutherland; twin brother Lorne MacCallum; brother Ralph (Pearl) MacCallum; sisters Marina (George) Campbell and Dianne (Daniel) McLure; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Norman MacFarlane; sisters-in-law Edna MacCallum, Dorothy (Enzley) Campbell and brother-in-law Everett (Louise) MacFarlane. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to Bedeque United Church, Bedeque, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment later in Searletown Cemetery, Searletown. Visiting hours Wednesday from 3 - 6 p.m. Memorial donations to Bedeque United Church or the Searletown Cemetery would be appreciated.
