It is with deep sadness that the Benoit family announces the passing of M. Robert (Bobby) Benoit in Charlottetown on February 27, 2016 in his 75th year.
Beloved husband of Lise, born Lacourcière, with whom he shared his life for more than 53 years.
Father of Charles (Nathalie Rousselle), Anne (Jean Bjornson) and Alexandre; grandfather of Emmanuel, Sophie (Martin Le Lieu), Élodie (Maxime Thibault-Vézina), Antoine (Marie-Ève Drolet), Kjev and Alexandre; great-grandfather of Laïla and Laurie.
Also survived by his older brother, Gérard (Suzette Tremblay) of Sudbury, his sisters-in-law Suzanne, Andrée, Julie and his brother-in-law Guy, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Albert Benoit and Germaine Miller, by his biological mother Imelda Arsenault, by his sisters Jeannette and Jeannine and brothers Hector, Lucien and Gilles.
A religious ceremony will be held March 19th at 11 a.m. at the St-Paul Church, 26 Eardley Road, Gatineau, Que.
Family and friends are invited to offer condolences after the ceremony.
Another community celebration will be held in Prince Edward Island later this spring for local friends and family that will not be able to travel to Hull.
