ESTHER WALKER

Esther Walker, late of Regina and Moose Jaw, died peacefully on March 5, 2016. She was born on a Parkbeg area farm to Danish immigrants Louis and Tillie Johnsen. She married Frank Walker in 1947, then moved to Northwestern Ontario. After his retirement they moved to Moose Jaw where she resided until 2011. She is survived by daughters Linda Walker (John de Bakker) of Thunder Bay and Edith Canfield (Ron) of Regina; grandchildren Chris and Jason Canfield, Sarah de Bakker, Elizabeth Furness; and great-grandchildren Emma Canfield, Isabella Furness. Esther was predeceased by her husband in 1986; parents; brothers Freddie, Vern, Ted and Ralph Johnsen; sisters Elsie Benson and Marie Prior. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday March 11, 2016 at 11:00 am followed by a reception. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Moose Jaw, SK. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Esther’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
