Margaret (Margie) Patricia Chipperfield - May 25, 1920 - March 6th, 2016
Mom passed away peacefully in her home at Good Shepherd Villa with two of her granddaughters by her side. She was born in Davidson, SK., grew up in Wilmar, Sk and finished her high school there. She then moved to Winnipeg and achieved her nursing degree. There she met Dad. They married and moved to Port Arthur where mom and daughter Pat lived while Dad was overseas. On his return they moved to Prince Albert where dad set up his medical practice. Here they raised their family. Mom was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She taught us life's many lessons with love and understanding. Mom was a curler, cross-country skier and duplicate bridge player.
Mom and Dad retired to Kelowna where they had many enjoyable years. They returned to Prince Albert in their declining years to be near family. Mom kept her great sense of humor until the very end.
Margie is survived by her children; Pat (Ebi), Gordon (Kathleen), David (Linda), and Brian. Her grandchildren; Tamara, Tarek (Erica), Micah (Joe), Kara (Jeff),Chris (Rennie), Justin (Kate), Dylan (Danielle), Katherine. And 14 wonderful great grandchildren.
We wish to thank the staff of the Good Shepherd Villa for the compassion and care given to Mom in the time she lived there and especially during the past month as her health quickly failed.
At Mom's request a family graveside service will be held at a later date
