Arlene Myrtle Bezanson – 83, of Black Rock, Kings County, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Ruby (O’Neil) Coleman. She had been employed as a Nurses Aid, working at the Mountain View Youth Rehab and Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre. Arlene was also active in politics, being a member of the Conservative Party. She is survived by her husband, Emmerson; a son, Steve (Deb), Black Rock; granddaughter, Jennifer and her son, Devon, Black Rock; grandson, Gordon (Alyssa) and daughter, Audrina, Quispamsis, New Brunswick; sisters, Dora, Eleanor and Helen; brothers, Allison (Linda) and Ivan (Kitty); nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Nathan, Leonard and Jack. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 in the Black Rock Baptist Church, Pastor Marie McCullum officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the West Black Rock Cemetery. No flowers, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
