Francis 'Fra' McKinnon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francis 'Fra' McKinnon, on Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Before moving back to Glace Bay 'Fra' work for many years in Ontario, and in his earlier years, prior to his illness, Francis enjoyed playing darts, baseball, hockey and he also enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by his mother, Lorraine; sisters, Charlaine (Mike) Chiasson, Laurie Blanchard and Melva; brother, Alan; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Brett; father, Charles McKinnon and stepfather, Allan MacMullin.
There is no more suffering for Francis; he is now in Heaven with his daughter. This gives us great comfort.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 11, from 7-9 p.m., in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass, presided by, Fr. Norman MacPhee, will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay.
Interment will be at a later date in Saint Anthony Cemetery, Glace Bay.
