1956 - 2016
Paulette Babineau, 59, of Moncton, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on July 22, 1956 in Moncton, she was the daughter of Robert and Shirley Gaudet.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Gérald; three children: Isabelle (Shawn Harquail), Denis (Nathalie) and André; her granddaughter, “princesse” Caroline; two sisters: Pierrette Gauvin (Terry) and Ginette Landry (Réjean); four brothers: Michel, Marcel (Paula), Maurice (Mary Ann) and Francis; as well as many special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A caring wife, loving mother, very proud grandmother and dear friend, Paulette treasured even the smallest things in life and always went the extra mile to brighten someone’s day. She enjoyed travelling with her husband with whom she shared her life since the tender age of 14 and, during the summer months, you could always find them on the beach. Over the years, Paulette was an avid member of many choirs including Les Jeunes Chanteurs d’Acadie, le Choeur Beauséjour and, most recently, la Chorale Voce dell’Anima. She cherished the many lifelong friendships that she made and enjoyed making people laugh.
Paulette will be remembered for her angelic voice, her beautiful smile, her dance moves and, above all, her love of life. Her time with us cut short, she is now relaxing on a beach looking down on us with the biggest smile.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Sunday from 1 to 5 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10 am. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarim.
