It is with deepest sadness that we announce the death of Edward Kublek on March 9, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Middle Cape, he was the son of the late Charles Kublek, native of the Ukraine and the late Ellen Ann (Hest) Kublek, native of England.
He was a devoted member of Holy Cross parish. Retired from the Cape Breton Development Corp.
He is survived by his loving son, Gregory; daughters, Ann Baglieri (Paul), Gail Boutilier (Francis), Barbara Holloway (Frank); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Rita Campbell; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Jennie; four brothers Ernest, Charles, Joseph, George; one sister, Alice.
The family would like to thank the staff of the CCU at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for their loving care and attention given to Edward.
Memorial donations may be made to Palliative Care, Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, March 13th at Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 14th, 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Parish. A reception will follow in the basement.
