MAILMAN, John William “Pecky”
With heavy hearts, the family of John William “Pecky” Mailman announces his passing, which occurred on March 11th, 2016, at Ridgewood Veterans Wing. Pecky was born on July 4th, 1925 in Saint John; he was the son of the late Angus and Clara (Munroe) Mailman, and the loving husband of Frances (Campbell) Mailman. He was a proud veteran who served his country overseas in World War II, and loved going for drives, fishing, hunting, sailing, and loved horses. In addition to his wife Frances, he is survived by sons Thomas, Frederick (Marlene), Edward (Sonya) and Harold (Dawn), daughters Linda Garnett (Frank), Susan Mailman (Jerry), Patricia Heaysman (Mike) and Cindy Richard (Wayne), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was pre-deceased by his son James, brothers James and Robert, and sisters Doris, Mildred, Sadie, and Helen.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424), where the family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 to 12:00. The funeral service will follow in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00pm. Interment will take place at a later date.
