GORMAN, LEWIS EARLE
The passing of L. Earle Gorman, of Yoho, NB, husband of the late Ellen (Holland) Gorman, occurred on March 12, 2016 at the Veterans Health Unit. Born on July 22, 1922, in Millville, NB, he was the son of the late John and Della (Hoyt) Gorman.
Earle was a veteran of WWII serving in the Royal Canadian Army in the UK. He retired from NB Power in December, 1983. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, living at Yoho Lake and traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his sons, Peter Gorman of Edmonton, AB, John Gorman (Jeannine) of Miramichi, NB, David (Tony) Gorman of Calgary, AB, Paul Gorman (Terry) of Camrose, AB; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Marjorie Jewett and Paula Crouse, both of Fredericton, NB, Pauline Foster of Bowmanville, ON; two brothers, Rev. Loren Gorman of Millville, NB and Rev. Karl Gorman (Helena) of Yarmouth NS; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Earle was predeceased by his sisters, Jacqueline Gorman, Maxine Jones and Ruth Brawn; brother Arden Gorman; sisters-in-law, Izetta Gorman and Lorna Gorman; brothers-in-law, Irvine Jewett, LaBaron Crouse, Murray Jones and Clinton Foster.
Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, N.B. on March 18, 2016 from 12 noon until 2 pm when the funeral service will be held with Rev. Wayne Blinn officiating. A Royal Canadian tribute service will be held during the funeral service. A reception will follow in the funeral home dining room. Interment will be later at Millville Cemetery.
