It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Jacqueline Marie 'Jackie' Prince, age 61, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in North Sydney, on Feb. 18, 1955, Jackie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Forrest) O’Connell. She worked as a CCA at the Cove Guest Home in Sydney. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in North Sydney. Jackie enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren and her dog Teaka. She loved being outdoors and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Prince; her two sons, Shane, Shawn (Laura Lee) and her daughter, Tina (Chesley Warren); her six grandchildren, Josh, Alisha, Tylor, Michael, Samantha and Jonathan and one great-granddaughter, Navaeh Maria Gale. Also surviving are her siblings, her brothers, Tony (Dora), Billy, Lloyd (Angela), Joey and Kelly and sisters, Corrine, Jamie, Tracy and Tammy; special nephew, Bryson and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy O’Connell and her twin brother, Sylvester.
There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service for Jackie will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church with Rev. Julio Martin officiating.
