It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Pittman nee Knott announces her passing at the Palliative Care unit of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL, on Monday, March 14th, 2016, at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband; Roland, her step daughters; Hughena Hunt & family, Donna (Norm Hiscock) & family, & Darleen (Rod Roberts) & family, her step daughter-in-law; Fay Pittman, & family, her brothers-in-law; Churchill (Beryl) Reid & family, Roland Reid & family, & Reginald Reid (Florence) & family, sisters-in-law; Olga (Floyd Shears) & family, Marjorie Rogers, & family, & Loweta Reid, & family. Many nieces, nephews, other family & friends. Rita was predeceased by her 1st husband; Roy Milton Reid, mother & father; Sarah & Samuel Reid, mother & father-in-law; Winifred & Arthur Reid, brothers; Arthur (Hattie) Reid, & Simeon (Lucy) Reid, brother-in-law; Samuel Reid, sister-in-law; Ruby (William) Barnes, & step son; Roland Pittman Jr. The family will be receiving family & friends from the Church of The Good Shepherd, in Norris Pt, NL, on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016, from the hours of 7-9 pm, & continuing on Thursday, March 17th, 2016, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Friday, March 18th, 2016, at 2: pm, with Rev Kay short officiating with the burial to follow at the Church cemetery in Norris Pt, NL.
