Saint-Antoine, NB – Simonne Gallant, 78, passed away peacefully at her sister`s residence in Dieppe, on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Born in Saint-Antoine, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and Dorilla (Leger) Caissie.
Simonne will be sadly missed by her husband, Joseph of Dieppe; by her two daughters, Nicole Gallant-Daigle (Martin) of Ottawa, ON and Josette Gallant (Jacques Arsenault) of Ottawa, ON; by her brother, Gérard Caissie (Alice) of Saint-Antoine, NB; her five sisters, Fernande Caissie of Bouctouche, NB, Jeanne-Mance Hébert (Joseph) of Bouctouche, NB, Maria Saulnier (feu Rhéal) of Sainte-Maries-de-Kent, NB, Bernice Caissie (Ken) of Dieppe, NB and Dorilla Richard (Roger) of Saint-Antoine, NB; by her two sisters-in-law, Jeanita Caissie of Dieppe, NB and Lucia Richard of Grande-Digue, NB; her five grandchildren, Olivier, Alexandre, Karine, Jasmine and Alexi; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence and Noël.
Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (Corner West Lane), Moncton on Friday, March 18, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home Saturday morning. Funeral mass will be held at Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church, 24 avenue de l’Église, Saint-Antoine, NB on Saturday, March 19, at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
