It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Batstone announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, March 18th, 2016 at the age of 75 years. She will be sadly missed by her husband Irving, son Martin (Allison) Batstone of Halfway Point, daughter Elaine (Michael) Walsh of Corner Brook, one brother Ronald Companion of Corner Brook, four sisters Jenny (Amos) Gabriel of St. George's, Agnes (Jack) Taylor of Deer Lake, Judy Companion (Wade) of Pasadena and Pauline (Gordon) House of Belburns. Also leaving with fond and loving memories are her two grandchildren James (Elizabeth) and Rosemary, four great-grandchildren Paige, Ryder, Beckham and River and a large circle of relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Cyril and Theresa Companion, four brothers Bernard, David, Henry and Joseph Companion, sister Yvonne, parents-in-law Marvin and Mary Batstone, brother-in-law Art Batstone, sister-in-law Ruby Batstone, nephews Robert and Richard Batstone, brother-in-law Doug Stevens.
