The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 of David Reagh Sudsbury of Arlington, aged 74 years, dear husband of Mary (Moore) Sudsbury. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Armed Forces. Born on Feb. 19, 1942, son of the late Reagh and Thelma (Semple) Sudsbury. Loving father to Donna (Bloyce) Curtis; Karen Sudsbury, Heather (Pete) Hachey, Michael Sudsbury (Kylie White), and Leeanne (Andrew) Farrar. Stepfather to Larry Rodd, Michelle (Paul) MacGregor, Randy (Heather) Rodd, Lynn Rodd (Bruce Gallant) and Brian (Tammy) Rodd. Grandfather to 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. David is also survived by sisters Glenn Beairsto and Sharyn (Philip) MacDougall. Sisters and brothers-in-law Ronnie (Phyllis) Moore, Jeff (Heather) Moore, Chuck Moore, Mary Moore Phillips (Sherwin) and Glenda (Danny) Moore; foster sister Norma (late John) Locke, and brothers Lowden (Norma) Ashley and Ivan (Dorothy) Ashley. David was predeceased by his parents, brothers-in-law Boyd Beairsto and Carman Smith, foster parents Ruth and John Ashley, step-grandchildren Robert and Matthew Curtis, mother and father-in-law Myrtle and William Moore and brothers-in-law Jim, Frank, Danny and John Kevin Moore. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Tuesday, March 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Wednesday March 23, at 10 a.m. at the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church. Interment to follow in the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Cemetery. Comrades of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ellerslie branch No. 23, will hold a service of remembrance for their late comrade at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45. In memory of David, memorials to the P.E.I. Lung Association or Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
