ATKINSON, Laura Mae – 83, South Side, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016, with her loving family by her side. Born October 16, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Etta (Nickerson) Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Ruby, Irene (Gordie), Bonita (Andrew), Georgia (Floyd), Louise (Carl), Patricia (Tommy); sons, Courtney (Wanda), Bruce (Shelley); brothers, Leslie (Lois), Emerson; grandchildren, Cody, Tina, Charmaine, Carrie, Jennifer, Adam, Jeremy, Travis, Paul, Seneade, Gage, Jaecie; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Kelsea, Drew, Dakota, Seth, Carter, Tyson, Codi, Spenser, and Ava. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Hubert; daughter, Crystal; infant son, Howard; sister, Eva. There will be a visitation held Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at the South Side United Baptist Church, South Side with Pastor Shaun Hatfield officiating. Interment to follow in the White Lily Cemetery, South Side. Memorial donations may be made to the Evergreen Cemetery or the White Lily Cemetery.
