Williams, Geraldine Mary; passed away gently on Friday, March 18 at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. A cherished mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and friend, she was born in Second Peninsula, Lunenburg County on February 19, 1940, grew up in Port Medway, Queens County and moved to Brooklyn after marrying her beloved Sherman. Faith in God was at the heart of her life. She lived that faith every day by loving and supporting her family and serving her church community. Graced with a ready smile, quick humour and keen sense of fun, she delighted in gathering with family and friends, engaging in lively conversation and exercising her sharp mind by learning new things. She was a skilled quilter, gardener, birder, and genealogy researcher, collecting many friends through these hobbies. She was predeceased by parents Warren and Inez Stevens, husband Sherman, and brother Daniel. She is survived by children Robin Anthony (Barry), Brooklyn; Colin (Judy Livingstone), New Glasgow; and Karen Barnes (Robert), Brooklyn; Grandchildren Daniel and Melissa Williams, Hannah and Luke Barnes, and John David Anthony; Great grandchildren, Emily, Noah and Megan Anthony; Sisters, Marjorie Wamboldt, Shirley Weagle (Willard), Barbara Burns (Ronald); Brothers Larry (Grace), James (Barbara Parnell), William (Judy), Gerald (Virginia); Sisters-in-law Charlene Freeman (Gordon) and Judy Brown (Brian); Uncle Wilfred (Evelyn) Stevens, Aunt May Stevens, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation took place at Chandlers Funeral Home, Liverpool on Monday, March 21. Funeral was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 22 at Highway Pentecostal Assembly, Hwy 3, Brooklyn, Pastor Fred Carr officiated.
