Jean Jeanette Muriel Balsor – 88, of Kentville, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born on January 7, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Lorna (Crouse) Wentzell. She had been employed as a housekeeper at the former White Spot Motel, worked at Skaling’s Restaurant and also provided private housekeeping. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Harold) Dill, Canning; Lorna, Victoria, British Columbia and Muriel (St. Clair) Salsman, Woodville; three sons, Eugene (Leslie), Duncan, British Columbia; Kim (Karen), Esquimalt, British Columbia and Darrell (Sylvia), Sackville, New Brunswick; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, William Carl Balsor; two grandsons and a great granddaughter. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service and reception at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the Salvation Army, Kentville Citadel, Lieutenants Joyce and Josh Downer officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Salvation Army or the I.W.K. Health Centre Foundation.
