Edith Richard-Magee, 91, formerly of Manoir Notre-Dame and Archibald Street, Moncton, passed away on Thursday March 24, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on July 1, 1924 in Richibouctou-Village, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Clara (Roy) Richard.
Prior to her retirement, she had worked at Creaghan’s for 15 years. She loved fashion and appreciated the beautiful things in life.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Claudette Magee (Alton Smith) of Dieppe. She will be missed by her card player friends: Maria, Germaine and Stella.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Magee (1997).
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Tuesday March 29 at 11 am. Interment will be in Richibouctou-Village. In memory of Edith, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
