Bright, Joseph Sheldon
It is with great sadness the family of Joseph Sheldon Bright announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on March24, 2016 at the age of 78. Born in Riverdale, Digby Co, NS on August 29, 1937 he was the son of the late Dennis and Mattie (Hatfield) Bright.
Sheldon leaves behind his wife Betty-Ann of Maugerville, NB; sons, Troy Bright (Sonya) of Fredericton, NB and Leonard Bright of Maugerville, NB; brothers, Paul Bright (Janet) of Napan, NB, Dennis Bright (Lorraine) of Hainesville, NB, and Joe Bright (Wanda) of Digby, NS; grandchildren, Chelsey, Ashley, Ryan, Cory, and Cody. Sheldon will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Sheldon was predeceased by his sisters, Lillian, Shirley, Lealda, Lois, Myrna, Rae, and Myrtle; brothers, Tony and baby Basil who passed away at birth.
Sheldon was an avid hunter. Every season you would catch him out in the woods with his friends and family. Sheldon also loved fixing things. If anyone had anything to be fixed, you could be sure they would bring it to Sheldon. He was a family man and will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home on Sunday, March 27, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 3:00 pm, with Fr. Bill Brennan officiating. A reception will be held at the O’Dell Lodge following the service. Interment will be at a later date in the Maugerville Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Sheldon's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation.
