Glenita Palk

PALK, GLENITA
It is with heartfelt sadness the family announces the passing of Glenita Louise Palk, on Friday March 25, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1946 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Bertha (Franklin) Purdy. She was a dear wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and left behind all the people she loved.
Glennie was a wonderful Christian lady who spent at least one hour each day talking to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Her life centered around her immediately family and her many friends. After graduation she was employed at Baxter Dairies, City of Saint John and in later years with Loch Lomond Home Hardware in administration and served on the Board at York Point. Glennie was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her summers at her trailer at Pirates Cove as well as looking after her grandchildren as much as possible.
She is survived by her husband Charles “Sonny”; her sons Mark (Jennifer) and Barry (Sherry); her sister Leora; her five grandchildren as well as her three great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews and her special friend Joan Mullins.
Just before her passing her granddaughter Marissa said it all “even if the love disappears from your body it never left your heart”.
Glennie will be resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
The family would appreciate donations made to the charity of one’s choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
