STYMIEST, CATHERINE A.
1930 - 2016
Miramichi – Catherine Anne Stymiest, widow of the late Robert G. Stymiest, of White Bridge Rd., Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday, March 25, 2016, at the age of 85. Born in Little Bartibogue, on November 17, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elvina (Comeau) Wallace.
She was a homemaker; an adherent of Carmel United Church, Napan; a retired employee of Sobeys Stores Ltd.; a Board member of the Miramichi Accessible Transit.
She is survived by eight daughters, Brenda Stymiest, of Moncton and Cheryl Dickson (Rodney), of Napan, Vicky Reid (Earl), of Halifax, Judy Murphy (Leo), of Napan, Cathy Glidden, of Miramichi, Sharon Quann, of Summerside, PEI; three sons, Teddy Quann (Anne), Charles (Bo) Quann (Susie) and Pat Quann (Sherry), all of Miramichi; twenty-six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rae Krishka (Walter), of Ont., Terry Wallace, of Orillia, Ont., Anne Gauvin, of Alainville, Donna Wallace, of Alberta; three brothers, Charles Gauvin, Wallace Gauvin, Pat Gauvin, all of Miramichi.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 2004; two daughters, Betty Manuel and Dixie Hachey.
By request there will be no visitation. A public funeral service will be held from Carmel United Church, Napan, on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in Miramichi, N.B., later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family.
