MATTATALL, PHYLLIS "ANN"
The death of Phyllis “Ann” Mary (Russell) Mattatall of the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Newcastle, NB, widow of George Mattatall occurred at her residence on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the age of 75. Born in Newcastle, NB, Ann was the daughter of the late Douglas and Jennie (Hovey) Russell.
Ann was a homemaker, member of the Miramichi Chapter # 44 Order of the Eastern Star, St. James & St. John United Church UCW. Ann also dedicated herself to various functions within the church.
Ann is survived by one daughter: Jennifer Swaine (Kevin) of Miramichi, NB; two sons: Jon (Jodi) of Moncton, NB; James (Alison) of Ste. Catherine, ON; one brother: Gordon (Nancy) of Miramichi, NB; six grandchildren: Suzanne, Rebecca, Katherine, Kate, Addyson and Erica.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM and Thursday 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service will be held from St. James & St. John United Church, Newcastle, NB on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2 PM with Rev. Alice Szemök officiating. Burial will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery later in the spring.
In Ann’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Alzheimer’s Society or a memorial of one’s choice.
