McKINLEY, JOHN "JACK"
It is with great sadness the family of John Murray McKinley “Jack”, husband of Judy (Phillips), announce his passing, which occurred on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home. Born on January 31, 1941 in Newcastle, New Brunswick, he was a son of the late Perley and Irene (Clarke) McKinley.
Jack was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed canoe trips and ATV outings.
Jack is survived by his wife Judy, four children Marilyn (Sean) David; Edward; David (Renée); and Graham (Lynaya); seven brothers, Alvin; Herb (Norma); Willis (Doreen); Donnie (Elizabeth); Sterling; Kenny (Twila); and Bev (Pat); two sisters Ruby (Ralph) MacFarlene and Sharon McKinley; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Audrey, Greta and Roberta; brothers Gary and Paul; and sister-in-law Carm.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Rd., Saint John, NB (634-7425) with visitation on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM with a reception to follow in Brenan’s Bay View Reception Centre. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Carleton Kirk Lodge for the kindness and compassion shown towards Jack.
For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Jack may be placed to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
