The death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 of Florence Ford of York Point, aged 73.
Florence was the loving mother of Kathy Callaghan, Davis MacNeill (Cheryl), Eva MacNeill (Chris MacKinnon) and Florence Smith (Dale Shaw); and grandmother of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Bob Peters (Wendy), Betty Doucette, Norma Peters-Bernard, Debbie Bradford (Ronnie), Vennie Matthews, Gail Muirhead (John) and Barb Palmer; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Florence was predeceased by her parents, James and Dorothy (Somers) Peters; her husbands, Clarence MacNeill and Alfred Ford; daughter, Margaret Ann MacNeill; brother, Mick Peters; and sisters, Shirley Brander and Joyce Woodside.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held at Central Queen's Funeral Home on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Long Creek Baptist Cemetery.
