The death occurred at Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Thursday, March 31, 2016, of Ruth Hattie Fitzgerald of Inverness, aged 83 years, dear common law wife of George Lynch. Born on September 9, 1932, in Inverness, daughter of the late George and Louisa (Hardy) Coughlin. Loving mother to Joyce Coughlin (Gabe Myla); Eddy (Donna); Connie (Terry) Smith; John (Yvonne); Elaine (Leith) Milligan; Paula (Nelson) Cormier; Audrey (William) MacLaurin; mother-in-law to Marie Fitzgerald; Betty Fitzgerald; Gary MacDonald and Wayne MacKenzie. Beloved grandmother of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Ruth is also survived by sisters and brother Jean LeClair; Dorothy (Arnold) MacDougall; Hazel Fitzgerald; Everett (Lilly) Coughlin; Florence (Lawson) Adams and Lillian (Duff) Cooper. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, husband George Fitzgerald, children twins - Albert and Almira, Bernadette, Jerry, Roger, Shirley, son-in-law Floyd Coughlin, brothers twins - Raymond and Ronald, Williams, Peter, James and Russell. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Sunday, April 3, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Monday, April 4, at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery, Foxley River, in the spring.
