GALLANT, DIANA L.
Diana Louise Gallant, 74, of Riverview, with her loving family by her side passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016, after a brave struggle with cancer, at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Tide Head, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Chesley and Dorothy (Gallie) McDavid.
Diana, was a mother, grandmother and aunt like no other. A selfless woman, Diana was always available to anyone she knew who needed her help. She also owned and operated a successful hairdressing business, and later attended Mount Allison University, majoring in psychology. She was also a proud member of Toastmasters, Moncton Chapter. She loved to socialize, travel, and most of all to spend time with family and friends. She had a variety of hobbies and took interest in anything life had to offer.
Diana will be forever missed by her husband of 57 years, Richard Gallant; Daughters, Elizabeth Gallant (Claude) of Riverview and Gina Dyment (Earl) of Cocagne; Sons, Richard Gallant Jr.(Jeannine) of Bouctouche and Jeffrey Gallant (Linda) of Dieppe; Precious grandchildren, Jenica (Justus), Samantha (Adam) and Corey, great-grandchildren, Jonah and Jayna; Sister Mona Galbraith (John) of Halifax, NS; Brother Pat Nicholson of Ajax, ON; many nieces and nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father George Nicholson as well as her two brothers Clifford and Chesley.
No Visitation Hours by personal request. A Service to celebrate Diana’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, (858-1995) Moncton on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Allison Carroll officiating, and family friend Reverend Sentner delivering the eulogy. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
