COOK (DOWNING), Helene Mae – 88, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at The Mira Long Term Care Facility, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Minnie Langille and step-daughter of the late John Moore. Helene was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. In earlier years, she worked as head cashier at Save Easy, head cook at Fletcher’s and then looked after her family and home full time. She enjoyed reading, dancing, playing games, crossword puzzles and Bingo.
