HELEN MARJORIE SYMAK

Helen was born in Scott, Saskatchewan on February 10, 1929. She passed away peacefully after a short illness on March 30, 2016. Thank you to the staff on the 5th floor at the Victoria hospital. Thank you to all her doctors, especially Dr. Elmer and Dr. Ali. Helen Is survived by her three children Sharon (Ken Meachem), Sheila (Ron Schwab) grandchildren Michael and Jaime Schwab, and Darby (Allisyn Camche). Helen is also survived by her sister, Vivian Parker and her brother Don (Sandra nee Mryglod) Lang. Her sister Florence (John Kusiak) passed away in 2009. Helen was predeceased by her husband of nearly 65 years, Albert, in 2015. Also predeceasing Helen were her parents Paul and Francis (nee Schmidt) Lang and her parents-in-law Peter and Caroline (nee Deptuck) Symak. Helen loved her family. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and cards, flowers and cooking. There will be a private family interment in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens at a later date.
