DICKINSON, BERNARD
The death of Bernard Everett Dickinson formerly of Simonds occurred on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Central Carleton Nursing Home, Hartland. Born February 9, 1920 in Simonds he was the son of the late Carey and Myrtle (McFarland) Dickinson.
He was also predeceased by his first wife, Edith; his second Wife, Mona; infant daughter, Linda; son in law, Danny Downey; step son, Raymond Briggs; siblings, Mildred Bell, Ronald Dickinson, Alice Craig and Frances Pelkey.
Bernard is survived by his children, Donald Dickinson (Norma), Dale Dickinson (Lucienne), Sheldon Dickinson (Nila), Anita Downey and Murray Dickinson (Trish); special son Albert Bodechon; brother in law, Delbert Everett; grandchildren, Julie Gathercole (Gordon), Kelly Dickinson ( Roy Stewart), Lori Wheelan (Andrew), Dwayne Dickinson, Jason Dickinson (Lauren), Michelle Dickinson (Antoine Boulet), Carey Dickinson (Aimee), Travis Dickinson (Laura), BJ Downey (Dawn Lemieux), Anessa Gordon (Greg), Brook Dickinson and Tara Dickinson; great-grandchildren, Connor, William, Rhett, Juliette, Ayden, Maddie, Caleb and Emmett as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High St. Hartland on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Hartland Baptist Church. Rev. Greg Porter and Rev. Harry Waugh will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
