It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gladys Marie Halfyard announce her sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Monday, April 4th, 2016, at the age of 61 years. Leaving to mourn her mother Shirley Halfyard, her siblings Margaret (Tony) Raike, Wayne (Roxanne) Halfyard, Jim (Angela) Halfyard and Glenn Halfyard, her nieces and nephews Jamie Elms, Kelley Raike, Leah Pike, Lachelle Halfyard, Alicia Halfyard, Noah Halfyard and Emily Halfyard, and special cousin Paula Halfyard Soper. Gladys was predeceased by her father James Halfyard on December 13th, 1984, and by her twin brothers Alfred and Archibald in January 1964. The family will be having a private family service at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 at 2 pm, with Pastor Craig Giles officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the United Church Cemetery in Woody Pt, NL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetes Association of Canada in Gladys memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
