Heard-Cyril Wiseman (January 15,1931 - March 30, 2016), age 85 years of Abbey Sk. passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the University Hospital in Saskatoon Sk. on March 30, 2016. A memorial service was held at the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home, Swift Current Sk. on April 9,2016 at 1:30pm with Elaine Little officiating. Interment of his cremated remains took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current Sk. The honorary pallbearers were all who shared in his life. Cyril is lovingly remembered by his three sons, Larry (Marilyn) and their sons , Travis (Cheri), Wyatt (Michelle), Cody (Courtney); Mike (Paulette) and their son Lee (Shalane); Rick (Barb) and their children, Jason (Arlyssa), Lara (Kyle), Brandon (Karissa), Kali (Colby), Robert Potter (Kelsey), Staci Potter (Jason); Daughter-in-law Sylvia and her three girls, Marsha (Jerrod), Crystal (Shawn),Rachel (Jack); his sister Lucille MacNaughton of Melfort,; his two brothers Howard of Swift Current and Robert (Alice) of Swift Current; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2003; son Billy in 1970; son Randy in 2012 and daughter Julie in infancy in 1963; his parents William and Sarah Heard; his in-laws George and Kathleen Reynolds; sister Violet Gebhardt; sisters-in-law Myrna Heard and Ruth Heard; brothers-in-law Patrick Reynolds, Morrice Reynolds, Bill Gebhardt and Wesley MacNaughton. Cyril was born in Abbey Sk. at the old Bonogofski house. He attended his earlier school years at Roe and later years in Abbey. Cyril was united in marriage to Mary Reynolds on November 15, 1951 in Lancer Sk. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. Cyril loved his family and enjoyed the times he spent with them. He was known for his homemade bread, buns and cinnamon buns. He loved to cook and can. Cyril spent many days restoring his antique cars and was so proud when they were displayed in local parades. He was famous for his clock collection. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends.
