CHRISTIE, STANLEY EARL
Unexpectedly at his residence on April 10, 2016, Stanley E. Christie of Thomason Corner, NB went home to be with his loving Saviour. Stanley was born in 1942 at McAdam, NB, a son of the late Earl and Mabel (McCavour) Christie.
Stanley’s life revolved around the love for his kitty’s, Fluffy, Tippy, Blackie and Bingo and every stray kitty he took under his wing and nurtured. He was a former CPR employee and a woodsworker.
He is survived by his sister, Norma Cole (Gerald), Harvey, NB; a nephew, Nelson Cole (Dawn), Harvey, NB; two nieces, Charlene Cormier (Fred), New Glasgow, NS and Donna Hoyt (Roger), Harvey, NB; a nephew-in-law, Jeffrey Williams, Smithfield, NB; five great-nieces and four great-nephews; and by his former wife, Barbara.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece, Sheryl Williams and a great-nephew, Jeffery Cormier.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm and visitation will also be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Gospel Lighthouse, 1860 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB from 12 noon until 2 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. George Clark and Rev. Hubert Perkins officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Stanley, the family has suggested the Sheryl Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund at Harvey High or the SPCA.
