ADAMS, Patricia Anne “Pat” – age 69, Yarmouth, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 17, 1947 in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Vic and Sadie (Hipson) Adams. Pat will be remembered by most people in Yarmouth as being the co-owner and operator of Town Taxi. Over the past 30-plus years, Pat made many lasting friendships with her loyal customers. Although Pat loved Christmas and shopping, her true passion was her family, whom will miss her terribly. She leaves behind her loving and devoted partner of 44 years, Joan Nickerson, as well as her two step-children, David (Rose) Boyd and Linda Boyd, both of Yarmouth. She was also a “mom” to Kendra Boyd, Yarmouth, whom she helped raise from birth. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Angela, Fredericton, NB; Emma, Sadie, Brittany, Martin, Todd, Patrick and Anthony, all of Yarmouth; great grandchildren, Taylor, Mason & Jacob, as well as a sister, Marilyn Smith, Arcadia; a brother, Rev. Victor Adams, Halifax and many nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Adams. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 13 both at H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Her brother, Rev. Victor Adams officiated. Burial will take place at a later date in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only.
