The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, of Frederick Irving Gallant, of Summerside and Bedeque, aged 73 years. Born in St. Edwards, he was the son of the late William Ernest and Mary Irene (Laviolette) Gallant. Survived by his brothers Reggie (Jean), Alfred, Clayton (Doreen); sisters Mae Gallant, Shirley Gallant, Eva (Wilbert) Gallant, Brenda Baglole; children Karen (William) Skerry, James, Alan, and Clarence (Bonnie); their mother Fannie Dawson; 7 grandchildren; and by a large number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Mary Rose; brothers Joseph and Ernie; grandparents Fred and Mary Gallant and Louie and Mary Rose Laviolette; and by a brother-in-law Ralph Gallant. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Peter’s Church Cemetery, Seven Mile Bay.
