Ronald Russell Hollingsworth – 77, Brookfield, passed away on April 13, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Ron was a well-known Taxidermist in Brookfield and worked alongside with his loving wife, Bertha. They had a strong relationship that lasted until the very end. Ron was an active member of the People’s Church, Truro where he was a member of the prayer group and also served as a deacon. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his wife, Bertha (Miller), Brookfield; sister, Shirley Lutz, Salmon River; nieces, Leona Jane Brown, Karen Harvey; nephews, Roger (Pamela) Brown, Robert Brown; great nieces and nephews Russell Brown, Ryan Brown, Lindsey Yorke, Bobbi- Jo Brown.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 17 from 2-4pm and funeral service on Monday, April 18 at 2pm all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Pastor Bruce Steeves, officiating. Interment in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Truro. Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to a charity of choice. A special thank you to Ron’s Peoples Church family as well as to the EMS for their assistance.
