Peacefully at the Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, the passing of Cecile MacLean (Nee Doiron), age 90, formerly of Georgetown, devoted wife of the late Frank MacLean, occurred on Thursday, April 14, 2016 with family by her side.
Born in South Rustico on August 1, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Domenique and Jeanne Doiron.
Cecile is survived by her loving children, Rose (Spud) Mitsushio, Gerard (Sleeper) (Susan) MacLean, Jeanne (Kevin) Dobbin, Melva (David) LaVie and Penny (Glen) Compton; seven cherished grandchildren; nine adored great-grandchildren; sisters Rita (Reggie) Blanchard, Josie (Jerome) Chaisson, Marie (Ralph) McQuaid. She was predeceased by a son Francis MacLean and siblings Edward, Joseph, Henry, Vincent and infant brother, Florence, Roseanna, Bernice and Stella.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting hours on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Monday, April 18, from St. James Roman Catholic Church, Georgetown, at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation or the St. James Parish would be appreciated.
