SCHOFIELD, Arthur Lester - BILLTOWN
Arthur Lester Schofield – 76, of Lakewood Road, Billtown, Kings County, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at home. Born in Billtown, he was a son of the late Lester and Edith (Moore) Schofield. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, Sheila (Keating); three daughters, Gail Dodge, Aylesford; Tammy (Joey) Hiscock, New Minas; Faye Schofield, Oshawa, Ontario; five grandchildren; one great grandchild. He was predeceased by two brothers, Sheldon and Roy; three sisters, Yvonne “Bonnie”, Lillian and Hazel; a foster sister, Pat. He worked as farm labourer and a back yard mechanic. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Murray Shaw officiating. A private family burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or the Valley Regional Hospital – Carey Me Fund.
